U.S. auto safety regulator launches major safety investigation into Tesla's FSD system, recall risk rises
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an engineering analysis investigation into about 3.2 million Tesla vehicles equipped with a fully autonomous driving system, and an escalation in the investigation could lead to recalls or enforcement actions after multiple accidents revealed that the system was defective when visibility was low.
