On Mon, 23 Sep 2024 - US stocks rose, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) and S&P 500 (^GSPC) eked out record closes, extending a winning streak on Wall Street. The gains were modest and appeared to be a continuation of last week’s rally after the Fed cut interest rates by a half percentage point (-0.5%).
