🌟🌟🌟John Bogle, the Founder of Vanguard pioneered index investing.  He believed that a broadly diversified investment strategy could produce fantastic results over time.    I must confess that I am a Booglehead who believes in this strategy in investing.  The Booglehead philosophy is based on patience, discipline and the power of compounding.  The key is to start early, invest regularly, diversify my portfolio and remain disciplined in my approach. 

$VANGUARD INTL EQUITY INDEX FUND INC TOTAL WORLD STK INDEX FUND ETF SHS(VT)$  is one ETF that is a perfect for me as it is passively managed to hold  a well diversified   market cap weighted portfolio of developed and emerging market stocks. 

In just 1 trade, I gain access to 9,608 stocks around the world with a 60% weightage in the US, 30% in developed markets and 10% in emerging markets.  These countries include Japan, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Canada, France, Switzerland, India, Germany and Australia.

The Top 10 holdings include the Magnificent 7 - $Apple(AAPL)$

Performance wise VT ETF is up 3% in the past 5 days  and 13% year todate.  

By investing in VT ETF, I am adopting the "VT and Chill" strategy which is popular among Bogleheads.   That means I set it and forget it, allowing me more time to pursue my hobbies such as travelling.   I do not have to succumb to analysis paralysis that comes with endlessly tweaking my portfolio.    With such comprehensive coverage, the need to speculate on which country, sector or market cap size will outshine the others becomes unnecessary. 

The investment thesis behind VT is simple.  The world stock market in its entirety will continue to rise in the long term.  The best part is VT is efficient, effective and economical.   Investing does not have to be complicated.  Just invest in VT and Chill!
