Fed official - Raphael Bostic
There was not one but two Fed officials who were out and about socialising yesterday (02 Mar).
Yet, (surprisingly!) it was Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic that received more coverage.
Was it because the magic words “Summer pause” were spoken ?
Something Wall Street & Funds Houses have all along cajoled and attempted to pressure the Fed into; airing their views and warning about recession etc..
Fed official - Chris Waller
Fed official - Chris Waller made similar comments at the Mid-size Bank Coalition of America event, an organization of around 100 financial institutions (with assets between $10 billion and $100 billion).
Ever the hawkish critic - Mr Waller revealed that the jury is still out, as more data would be available between now and Fed's next meeting on March 21-22.
The only difference is that he did not mention about a possible interest pause ! Get it ? LOL !!
With The Media Selectively Hear What They Want :
DJIA : +1.05% (+341.73 to 33,003.57).
S&P 500 : +0.76% (+29.96 to 3,981.35).
Nasdaq : +0.73% (+83.50 to 11,462.88).
Indexes’ Moving Averages :
Both S&P 500 and Nasdaq have improved their respective 200-day ma
S&P 500’s 50-day ma is equal with the index.
DJIA index’s moving averages remained status quo.
Is Microsoft ( $Microsoft(MSFT)$ ) Posed To Rise ? Is It Time To Invest ?
When Microsoft announced a mixed Q2 2023 Earnings result on 24 Jan 2023, its stock price was hoovering around $240 per share.
There was no real catalyst to pump up its stock price; not until the grand reveal of ChatGPT.
That got market excited about Microsoft again
Microsoft gets Greenlight to acquire Activision Blizzard ?
Now that Microsoft is poised to get EU’s approval to permit its acquisition of Activision Blizzard after all the legal wrangling
Will this be the x-factor catalyst that Microsoft is looking for to propel its stock price back to the $300 key level ?
Will US Market End On A High On The First Week of Mar 2023 ?
Looking at US Pre-market indicators (above diagram) - Green !
Bitcoin & Ethereum prices for last hour & 24 hours (above diagram) - Red & Red !
Asia markets (ASX - Green !, Nikkei - Greeb !, KOPSI - Green !, HSI - Green !)
EU markets (DAX - Green !, FTSE - Green !, CAC - Green !).
Do you think Microsoft stock price will be on the rise from now ?
Do you think the US Market will be able to close on a high by this evening ?
