$DBS GROUP HOLDINGS LTD(D05.SI)$Bullish

I am bullish on DBS as interest rates are rising and its excellent 2Q22 results with Net Profit is 

up 6% year on year, and 2% quarter on quarter to SGD1815 million.

DBS Net Interest Margin will continue to grow in tandem with the Feds interest rate hikes to control high inflation.  Every increase in the US Feds Fund Rate of 1 basis point, will result in an increase of SGD 18 million to SGD 20 million.  DBS said that Net Interest Margin has already exceeded 1.80% in July.

DBS expects the completion of the acquisition and full integration of Citi Consumer Taiwan by 3Q23.  This will add SGD800 million to its sales and SGD250 million to its net profits.

Current CET-1 Car ratio is 14.2%.

DBS has proposed an interim dividend of 36 cents for 2Q22, up from 33 cents in 2Q21.

6 Financial Analysts are also bullish on DBS with a rating of BUY, its Target price ranging from 37.60 by OCBC Investment to 43.60 by UOB Kay Hian.
