This week, Singapore is set to host a major event once again! The highly anticipated Singapore Night F1 will take place from September 20 to 22 at Marina Bay.
As the first-ever night race in F1 history, the Singapore Grand Prix stands out from other races. The Marina Bay street circuit is renowned for its waterfront design and iconic cityscape.
As drivers race around the 4.94-kilometer track, they will pass some of Singapore's most famous landmarks, including the Singapore Flyer, Esplanade Theatres on the Bay, and Marina Bay Sands.
The race will be accompanied by a spectacular fireworks display, adding to the thrilling atmosphere! After the race, you can discuss the exciting event at nearby bars and restaurants, with a chance to spot celebrities and influencers.
Besides buying tickets, where else can you watch the race?
The race takes place in public areas, where you can view parts of the circuit from good vantage points. The sensation of cars zooming past is exhilarating!
Helix Bridge: Connecting Marina Bay with Marina Centre, this spot is close to the stands and can get quite crowded during the race.
Esplanade Theatres on the Bay: The open-air terrace offers a great view of Raffles Avenue.
Millenia Walk: From the upper levels, you can get a clear view of the track. The elevated bridge on the right side is perfect for capturing photos of the racing cars.
Marina Square: The 2nd-floor exit providesa view of part of the circuit, while the rooftop garden on the 3rd floor offers a broader perspective.
The National Library: From the 12th floor, you can overlook Suntec City and Marina Bay.
Additionally, there are two community centers where you can watch the live broadcast for two consecutive days:
Our Tampines Hub: Featuring a large display screen, this location offers a great viewing experience! There will also be racing simulators and a mini race track for photo opportunities.
Heartbeat@Bedok: It's a great spot for families, with activities specifically designed for children.
Which F1 driver do you support?
According to F1's points system, the winner of each race earns 25 points, with points decreasing for subsequent positions. Drivers outside the top 10 do not earn points.
Max Verstappen leads the drivers' championship by 59 points over Lando Norris but has never won in Singapore. Despite dominating in 2023 with 19 wins, he only finished 5th in Singapore. Norris is closing in and could overtake him before the season ends.

For the driver, my favourite one will definitely be Charles Lecler, under Ferrari racing team. Ferrari is showing strong comeback in recent few races. The cars are still less competitive than McLaren but we are somewhere among the top. Go go Lecler and Ferrari!
For SG stocks that might benefit from the F1 event will be $SIA(C6L.SI)$ for increased flights, $SATS LTD.(S58.SI)$ airport and catering services due to more tourists, $Grab Holdings(GRAB)$ and $ComfortDelGro(C52.SI)$ due to more transportation demands. $Genting Sing(G13.SI)$ might be another stock that benefits from such event.
