Many Chinese concept stocks $Direxion Daily FTSE China Bull 3X Shares(YINN)$ $Alibaba(BABA)$ $PDD Holdings Inc(PDD)$ soared yesterday as China pledged to adopt "more proactive fiscal policies and moderately loose monetary policies" in 2025, signaling potential interest rate cuts and a shift away from the "prudent" strategy upheld for 14 years.

Did you make money yesterday?

Many tigers bought Chinese stocks at low points several weeks ago and reaped significant gains yesterday.

Those who bought during overnight trading session likely made profits as well. However, if you chased high prices during the trading session and didn’t lock in profits quickly, you might face losses today.

That said, there’s a particularly strong IPO stock, $MAO GEPING(01318)$ , which surged 80% on its first trading day.

Today, Chinese concept stocks are starting to pull back.

Should You Continue Hold or Sell China stocks?

Analyst recommends:

Focus on short-term rallies and avoid holding for too long.

A "sell the news" scenario could emerge this week as the Central Economic Work Conference (CEWC) is expected to outline 2025 economic goals and stimulus plans around Wednesday or Thursday.

It’s advisable to close positions after the CEWC concludes and the official communique is released.

Therefore, managing your portfolio and selling at the right time is critical. After all, the sharp drop on October 8 is still fresh in investors’minds.

Are Goldman Sachs Analysts Bullish on Chinese Stocks in 2025?

Goldman Sachs predicts that the MSCI China Index and CSI 300 Index could rise by 15% and 13%, respectively, next year.

This would be driven by projected earnings growth of 7%-10% per share and moderate valuation improvements. The policy shifts in 2024 have reduced downside risks and pushed valuations higher. For 2025, policy implementation will be crucial to boosting corporate earnings and driving stock market growth.

I won’t trade mao Geping. Too risky for my liking as it has surged a lot and I prefer to lock in profits for China assets. I feel that better to make small gains than to hold on too long and still make about the same amount some months later. I used to prefer to invest but I think better to trade in China/HK stocks. Once it reaches my profit threshold, I will sell.
