Soon we'll end uphaving a holiday for every once workingday of the year. lt must change if we aregoing to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" ----------- When US market opens, we are quite busy to follow the news, quotes and movers. Here’s What Investors Can Do When Markets Are Closed

$S&P 500(.SPX)$ $Trump Media & Technology(DJT)$ The U.S. stock market shuts down roughly a dozen times each year for federally recognized holidays, plus a handful of early closing days around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Independence Day. These closures are part of the fabric of Wall Street tradition, but they occasionally draw criticism from those who see them as relics of a bygone era. Recently, former President Donald Trump added fuel to the debate, claiming that America “can’t be great again if everyone is always on vacation,” and singling out the stock market holiday calendar as an example of “bureaucratic inefficiency.” Regardless of whether you agree with Trump’s assessment, his remarks have

⸻ 📉 “Markets Closed? Here’s What I Do!” 🇺🇸💼 When the US market is open, I’m usually glued to my screen—tracking quotes, managing options, and reacting to earnings or news like a hawk. But once the market closes, I shift gears. 🧠 1. Reflect & Learn I take time to review my trades—what went right, what I could improve. Sometimes I dive into a new book on technical analysis, or backtest a strategy. Continuous learning is key to staying sharp. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 2. Family First Markets can be mentally draining. So, I use after-hours to connect with loved ones, enjoy a good meal, and recharge. A clear mind makes better trades tomorrow. 🎯 3. Plan Ahead I prepare for the next trading day. That means checking earnings calendars, macro news, and setting alerts or watchlists for gap-ups or potential revers

Trump’s Holiday Rant: Winning Strategies for Market Downtime

Trump’s latest Truth Social rant has set the internet ablaze: “Too many non-working holidays in America. It is costing our Country $BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to keep all of these businesses closed. The workers don’t want it either! Soon we’ll end up having a holiday for every once working day of the year. It must change if we are going to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” His complaint—dropped on Juneteenth, no less—has sparked a firestorm of debate. Is he right? Are holidays bleeding the economy dry, or is this just another Trump-sized exaggeration? And more importantly, when the markets shut down for these so-called “non-working” days, what’s your move? Let’s unpack the drama and turn those market pauses into pure gold. Holidays: Economic Drain or Hidden Boost? Trump’s beef is simple: federal holida

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ With President Trump back in office, his fiery commentary has returned to the spotlight — and this time, he’s taken aim at what he calls the “ridiculous number” of market and government holidays. While his remark is more of a political jab, traders and investors are left asking: when the markets shut down… what should you do? It might feel like a pause in momentum, but non-trading days are often hidden gems — if used wisely. 🧠 1. Review, Reset, Reassess Holidays give you breathing room. Instead of reacting to real-time prices, you can reflect with a clear head. Check your portfolio allocations – Are you too heavy in one sector? Is your cash position ready for opportunities? Revisit your convictions – Do you still believe in t

I think whatever that is important is worthy to be planned for. I definitely plan ahead to enjoy downtime. I forecast leave for planned holidays, important family events to spend time with and also random days just to take a break. During my break days, I watch my favourite shows, play some games and also watch educational videos on investment and religion specific videos. Regardless whether market is open or closed, I do take part in Tiger’s activities like today![Happy] Rest is vital for health and great performance. It keeps the mind sharp too which is important to making sound decisions when trading the market. Market off days don’t have to be a waste of money. $Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$  There he goes again… [LOL]   Who doesn’t love holidays? I know I do! It’s the perfect time to sleep in, relax, and enjoy moments with your loved ones. [Heart]
If a country has too many holidays, the country's economy will sooner or later be affected. People will be lazy and complain when there's a need for them to work longer when the country needs to rebuild their economy... They are countries that have shorter holidays are enjoying very good economy results for years... their citizens are hard working and willing to work longer hours , although there are complaints but everyone is used to it and enjoying the economy fruits.

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ When markets close, many investors and market participants use the time strategically rather than idly. Depending on one’s goals and commitments, here are a few productive and balanced approaches that could be taken: 1. Review and Reflect Post-market review: Analyse the day’s performance—both personal trades and market movers. Journal: Document what worked, what didn’t, and identify patterns in behaviour or market responses. 2. Planning Ahead Set alerts and entry points: Use after-hours time to plan trades or investments based on upcoming economic data, earnings reports, or technical levels. Sector rotation study: Research which sectors may lead or lag based on current macroeconomic trends. 3. Continuous Learning Read financ

A Deep Dive Into Do Presidential Vacations Affect the Stock Market? How Many Days Did TACO Take Off?

$S&P 500(.SPX)$ When Donald Trump ran for president in 2016, he famously criticized then-President Barack Obama for playing too much golf and taking too many vacations. “If I’m elected, I won’t have time to play golf,” he declared at one rally. Yet, after taking office, Trump himself became one of the most frequent users of vacation time — or what he called “working vacations” — in modern presidential history. So how many “holidays” or “vacation days” did Trump actually take during his four years in office? How does his record compare to other presidents? And what does it really mean for a U.S. president to “take a holiday”? In this article, we’ll break down the numbers, provide historical context, and examine how presidential vacations fit in

#Tiger_comments# Nice! Donald Trump is busy working his fingers during holidays… maybe those “workers” could also just tweets during holiday hours and get free Trump coins, bitcoin coins 🪙, etc. So tiring… either use your fingers, or your mouths 👄 [Tongue][Facepalm][Sly] He is definitely not the only one who claims people love to work during holidays and holidays should be cut down. Some employers even claimed that if they don’t provide work for some older folks, they would be bored to death. They feel that they are doing social good by giving them little pay and more work because they just love to work to stay alive! Strange claims… we have heard many of these from people who would love to dictate how we live. Why do many in 🐯 trade? For fun? For better future in terms of financial freed
