Best novel - Animal Farm by George Orwell !

I think. Reading unlocks worlds of fun, knowledge, and quiet escape, like a magic door in your mind. When I was younger, I had a voracious appetite for reading. As I got older, it has gradually become a luxurious indulgence due to work, life and distractions. Believe it or not, the ability to pick up (in reading) from where one has left off seemed challenging at times as well. Novels have been displaced by news articles / posts on current affairs, US stock market and economic reports โ€” concise with a purpose, that does not have room for imagination (LOL!). Personally, these are the little ironies of life. George Orwell - Animal Farm. Having said what I said, I am happy to share that I managed to pick up George Orwell - Animal Farm again recently, to re-live the new story behind the story

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ @MillionaireTiger  @Tiger_comments     An interesting book that I came across recently - The Psychology of Money by MorganHousel. Let me share with you some key takeaways -  1. Luck and Risk are siblings - every outcome in life is guided by forces other than individual effort. Risk and luck are doppelgangers. The difficulty in identifying what is luck, what is skill and what is risk is one of the biggest problems we face when trying to manage money. Countless fortunes (and failures) owe their outcome to leverage. The line between 'inspiringly bold' and 'foolishly reckless' can be a millimeter thic

The book that I recommend is The essays of Warren Buffett.  Whether you are still a newbie in the investment world, or you think you know it all, this book will benefit you by improving your investment patterns. Do you want to grow your companyโ€™s enterprise value? You first need to learn the interrelation between a companyโ€™s management and its stakeholders. Buffet's essays address many financing topics like corporate governance, investing, mergers and acquisitions, accounting and valuation, accounting policy, tax matters, and alternatives to common stock. These essays are relevant to the environment of Corporate America. He tries to give us an insight into his business mindset and the basic principles he follows in finance through them. After going through his book, you will understan

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ My top 3 of 2023 The New Economics (Steve Keen): One of the few edges retail investors can gain is to have a better economic frame. Not only can this assist macro positioning -.through correctly understanding the monetary plumbing, but also assesing real world firm dynamics (not the neo-classical abstractions that never occur in reality).  How the world really works (Vaclav Smil): it is good to be reminded that finance sits on top of real physical processes; in particular that energy is the core of all human activities. As Keynes said, our real limitation is not money but what we can actually do.  10x is easier than 2x (Dan Hardy): Bigger and more unrealistic goals are better for us: they excite us more, fill u

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$   one of the books which I liked very much from last year read was The Atomic Habit. It's a book that guides us on how to make a good habit or kill a bad one. For instance, it's all about that 1% of improvement that we make on a daily basis that will have a snowball and lasting effect on our daily lives. Another great lesson from the book is that in order to create a habit, you need to make the cues obvious. Apart from being obvious, you need to make it rewarding. Next, it has to be easy to make it and lastly, make the reward satisfying. From the book, everything has to be broken down into baby steps and then gradually chained together for it become a positive habit in our lives. Give it a read guys if you have
