Can someone shed some light on the decoupling between eBay and Paypal ?  Thought the purchased of Paypal was to build on the synergy between both entities ?  Did they fail the anti-trust law or something ?  Without the "auto" flow of business (payments) for every eBay transaction (that could amount to a high volume) - can Paypal succeed to stand on its own two feet.  Its almost like "regressing" back to the days before the integration with eBay right ?
