      meme stocks a really so attractive because of the "lottery" factor some of them have. also, losing money to meme stocks or to non-meme stocks makes no difference haha

      I will likely be divesting slowly from sg stocks and focusing more on US stocks instead, primarily because i find myself with more time now to track US stocks and do more research. Also, sg stocks are safer(?) but they are kind of... slow. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

      Looking back on my investment journey over the past year or so, I can safely say that the investment principles that have served me well are truly the core, basic ones: do your research, buy low/sell high, diversify, don't invest money you don't have, be patient, etc. I won't say i've made a lot of money, but i have, at least, made some returns (more than if i'd just left my cash in the bank). and i'm glad to say that i've not lost money. so if you are a newbie like me, my advice is know your basics and stick to them.

      If there is one thing I have been rudely reminded of from the past few weeks, is that all investments carry a certain amount of risk, whether you are investing in a hundred-year-old bank, a penny stock, or a gold dealership started by your mother's friend's son whom you've never met before.
