AI - The new frontier

I have said it before. Way before chatGPT got viral. Months before actually. You can check my postings' date stamps if you don't believe! AI/ML is here and it is here to stay.

However, as in all investments, there is always a certain price to pay for it. Value is subjective as well as time dependent. A company's value now may not be the same a few months back or a few months down the road. It is too dynamic and the macro environment can shift so fast, an investor cannot be blamed for being too cautious or too brazen at times. So as it is with AI companies, the future is bright. But many have gone up too far too fast. I admit I was too quick to call a top. Far too quick in fact. Too quick i feel like kicking myself in the bum. I bought the bottom nicely but sold out too quickly. No regrets though. A bird in hand is better than none. Emotions have to be kept in check.

At the moment, risks are still abound. But it is a market on momentum. Momentum is up and trend is up. As they say the trend is your friend. So as cautious and worried of the macroenvironment as I am, I do have to respect that. As such, tactics have to shift to adapt. 

I believe AI still have a long way to go. However still, prices have gone up too fast too quickly. However however, prices have retreated from the recent highs to what I believe is a 'buyable correction'. Yes prices may get better still especially in view of the macro environment and the risks. But if you have a long term view of a few years down the road, then you don't have to think so much. Those with a shorter holding stance might want to consider tight stops beneath important technical levels.
