It's Game On For Activision Blizzard Deal with Microsoft!
πππI am super excited today when the news hit that US Judge Jacqueline Corley gave the green light to the proposed acquisition of $Activision Blizzard(ATVI)$ by $Microsoft(MSFT)$
Suddenly my Activision's shares were up 13% in just 1 day! I have been patiently waiting for this great news ever since I bought Activision last year when it was announced that Microsoft will acquire Activision for USD 95.00 per share in an all cash transaction valued at USD 68.7 billion.
With 3 billion people actively playing games today, gaming is now the largest and fastest growing form of entertainment. With this acquisition, Microsoft will become the world's 3rd largest gaming company by revenue behind Tencent and Sony. Activision Blizzard is famous for its games like Warcraft, Diablo, Overwatch, Call of Duty and Candy Crush.
According to Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, Gaming will play a key role in the development of metaverse platforms. In the future, people can play the games they want, virtually anywhere they want.
The US and Britain have been the 2 countries opposed to what would be the largest deal ever in the videogame industry and Microsoft's largest deal ever. After the US's judge order, Britain's Competition and Markets Authority CMA said it was prepared to consider Microsoft's proposals to resolve antitrust concerns in the UK. This means that it may clear the hurdle for the acquisition deal to be approved.
I know Warren Buffett would be happy too as his company, Berkshire Hathaway is poised to score a cool USD 1 billion profit!
The deadline to close the deal is July 18 and I can't wait for this acquisition to happen to cash in on my profit too. It's Game On $Activision Blizzard(ATVI)$ πππππππ°π°π°

- AlexTeddySGΒ·2023-07-12TOPCongrats. Just curious, this buy of Activision is purely on trust that Judge will clear. No technicals or fundamentals involved? 13 over an year is nt it a bit stretched but not bad though. Time to enjoy.2Report
