On Thu, 16 Nov 2023 - a “unverified” X user tweeted a post that claimed Jews "have been pushing the exact kind of dialectical hatred against whites that they claim to want people to stop using against them." 

Against the backdrop of an ongoing Hamas-Israel outbreak at the Gaza strip, this tweet could not have come at a “better” time.

Anyone mildly intelligent, would be able to see through it that this is a shit-stirring tweet with every intention to fan the flame of hatred.

Without any publicity, the tweet should die a natural death.

As fate would have it, mr musk decided to add oil to fire:

• By supporting the tweet that the user (the artist formerly known as eric) said is true.

• At the same time, he created shit of his own by criticizing the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), an advocacy group that works to combat hate against Jewish people.

Background note:

On a separate occasion mr musk has targeted the ADL previously.

In September 2023, he has threatened to sue ADL for purportedly accusing both him and X of antisemitism, claiming that the ADL's actions had led advertisers to abandon Twitter.

In short, it is a tit-for-tat from the petty rich billionaire.

With a massive fan-base, his tweet became even more viral than it already could be (he had Twitter “coded” to push his tweets to readers regardless of whether they ask for it or not).

Thanks to his petty and childish endeavour,

1) Fallout from his endorsement of the antisemitic views continues to spread.

2) $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ investors have criticized the billionaire.

3) A new wave of advertisers have pulled out Twitter:

• $IBM(IBM)$.

• $Apple(AAPL)$.

• $Walt Disney(DIS)$.

• $Comcast(CMCSA)$.

• Lionsgate.

• Paramount.

• European Commission has reached out to European companies to do likewise.

Over at Europe continent, a different storm is storming.

It hits Tesla directly. (see above)

Dockworkers in Sweden have expanded their protest action against Tesla by preventing the company’s cars from being unloaded at all ports, in sympathy with Tesla workers demanding collective bargaining agreements.

Unfortunately, the post did not provide more details on the nature of the demands or the reasons behind the strike.

The repercussion to Tesla is obvious.

Disruption to Tesla’s supply chain and production in Sweden, hurts both its top & bottom line, without a doubt.

Could Tesla afford to have another poor Q4 2023 earnings report, in less than 2 months?

• At the start of Fri, 17 Nov 2023 trading, Tesla has already fallen by -1.30% ($3.03 to $230.56 per share).

• When trading ended on Fri, 17 Nov 2023 — Tesla registered a modest gain of +0.30% to $234.30 per share.

• However, all too soon — its after hours trading saw Tesla giving up almost -50% of its Friday gain.

• Is it likely that the negative news have began to set in motion?

• Will this be the beginning of repercussions from the viral tweet?

• How long will the decline lasts?

• Do you think as a politically exposed person, mr musk should not invite unwanted troubles?

• Do you think he will be responsible for the demise of Tesla, thanks to his thoughtless actions?
