Investors await the Powell hearing and non-farm data this week. Continued support from the AI-led rise in technology stocks, SMCI surged another 18%. Apple shares fell more than 2 percent after the company was hit with a nearly $2 billion EU antitrust fine. Blockchain stocks rose on the back of bitcoin's surge to a two-year high.

The S&P and Nasdaq both hit record highs last week, with the S&P up in 16 of the past 18 weeks for the first time since 1971, while signs of weakness in consumer confidence and manufacturing activity have bolstered bets that the Fed will cut interest rates this year. Markets now expect the Fed to start cutting its benchmark interest rate in June from a more than 20-year high. Fed Chairman Jerome Powell will give testimony on monetary policy to the House of Representatives on Wednesday and the Senate on Thursday.

$MicroStrategy(MSTR)$ , the largest corporate holder of $bitcoin, has proposed to increase bitcoin reserves by selling $600 million of convertible senior notes. Since the company began buying bitcoin in 2020 as a hedge against inflation, the value of bitcoin held on the enterprise software maker's balance sheet has grown to about $13 billion.
