CONL GraniteShares 2x Long COIN Daily ETF - A Tactical Bet On Coinbase

$GraniteShares 2x Long COIN Daily ETF(CONL)$ is my tactical bet to catch the upward momentum of Coinbase. CONL provides 2 times (200%) leveraged exposure to the daily price movement for Coinbase's share price.
With the approval of Spot Bitcoin ETFs by the SEC, Coinbase has become the market leader as the leading custodian of Bitcoin. Bitcoin has risen 8% in the past week as it recovers some lost ground and returns to the USD 70,000 mark. With the Halving Event in April, Bitcoin may get a boost and push it to a new high.
Coinbase is using its reputation and technical prowess to push into new markets. It is also working with big banks as a trading platform and custody for their customers. Developers are building with Coinbase's tools and using it as a Base Blockchain.
Wall Street Analysts are bullish on Coinbase with a Buy rating, Target price of USD 350, an upside potential of 32%.
What I like about CONL is that it is a simple strategy to capture the upside momentum of Coinbase. It is a lot easier than trading options which are much more complex. I do not need to borrow or maintain collateral. There are no margin calls. I cannot lose more than the initial investment.
However CONL is not suitable for long term hold due to its compounding nature.
The expense ratio is 1.15%.
Performance wise, CONL is up 8.4% in the past 5 days and has jumped 164% year todate. In 2023, CONL is up a whopping 710%!
Coinbase is a great stock to buy and hold long term. But to make extra income on a short term basis, CONL is perfect for me. However for the risk adverse investor CONL may not be suitable due to its higher volatility.
In investing, there is no right or wrong. It is simply up to individual's goals and risk appetite.
Coinbase and CONL offer me the best of both worlds - long term and short term gains. How good is that!
