🌟🌟🌟$AMC Entertainment(AMC)$  share price has dropped 15.5% today to its All Time Low of USD 3.12.   In the past 5 trading days AMC shares have skidded by 23.6%.  This is due to the fact that it announced a stock sale to raise USD 250 million.  AMC said that the money was needed in part to make up for a weaker first quarter box office because of last year's strikes by Hollywood writers and actors.

Last year AMC held two other stock sales and a reverse stock split in order to raise cash.

Investors are unhappy because too many stock sales dilute the share price of the company.

Could AMC stock see a repeat of 2021's short squeeze?    A short squeeze is a term used to describe a phenomenon in the markets where a sharp rise in the price of an asset forces traders who previously sold short to close their positions. The strong buying pressure "squeezes" the short sellers out of the market.

It may happen but it is hard to predict when it will happen.  In the meantime I will stay clear of AMC as it is a high risk high reward kind of stock, not for risk adverse investors like me.
