I opened 1 lot(s) $GOOGL 20260116 140.0 PUT$  ,๐Ÿ“Š๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿป sold a Google put hope doesnโ€™t go down more This was a gtd good to done order when I saw Google went as high as 159 I did not chase . It was priced at 12.55 I qued higher at 13.35 to sell the put in the end I sold it at day high after I went to sleep it was done maybe around 4 am plus when there was a big sell down . so time beats timing the market . this is a cash secured put . banks and warrant buffet also regularly uses it . In 2022, amidst the fluctuating market conditions, let's consider an investor eyeing Apple stock, which had a spot price of $150 per share. To generate income and potentially acquire the stock at a discount, the investor decides to sell a cash-secured put option with a strike price of $140. For this option, they receive a premium of $5 per share. Now, if the stock price were to drop below the strike price, let's say to $135 per share, the investor would be obligated to purchase the stock at the strike price of $140 per share. However, considering they received a premium of $5 per share upfront, their effective purchase price would be reduced to $135 per share. This is because the premium offsets part of the purchase cost, essentially providing a discount from the current market price. Yet, as with any investment strategy, there's a balance to strike. While waiting for the stock price to potentially drop further or expire worthless, the investor risks missing out on potential gains if the stock price were to rise instead. Hence, it's essential to assess the market conditions, risk tolerance, and investment objectives carefully before engaging in options trading strategies like cash-secured puts.

Quite a tough one. Either wait and see, or buy a call to limit loss or roll to higher strike price.
