Options Market Statistics: Tesla Stock Soars 9% as Wall Street Grows More Bullish After 'Game-Changer' Election; Options Pop


$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$   stock gained nearly 9% on Monday, sending shares to their highest level since early 2022 and giving the company a market cap north of $1.1 trillion amid optimism that the electric vehicle maker will be a big winner under the Trump administration.

"We are raising our price target on Tesla to $400 from $300 as we believe the Trump White House win will be a game-changer for the autonomous and AI story for Tesla and Musk over the coming years," Wedbush analysts led by Dan Ives wrote in a new note to clients on Monday.

The options market was notably active, with a volume of 4.01 million contracts, where calls constituted 65.5% of the activity. The most traded calls are contracts of $350 strike price that expire on November 15. The total volume reaches 158,861 with an open interest of 33,013.

 Bitcoin traded higher over the weekend and is hovering near all-time highs on Monday as the rally in risk assets following Donald Trump’s election win continues. Most anticipate a more favorable regulatory environment under Trump, who has positioned himself as pro-crypto.

The trading session was marked by substantial options activity, with a volume of 0.91 million contracts, of which 80.2% were calls. The most actively traded options were the $25 calls set to expire on November 15.
