$Rocket Lab USA, Inc.(RKLB)$ Well today was a bit painful after the meteor ride rocket lab has taken over the last few months. But with an average price of $4.32 im not really bothered. Options market is stll pricing It around $27 by the end of December. And its bouncing back in after hours trading. Main reason for the drop seems to be ARk investment selling down, wouldn't surprise me if they are buying it back now. They move in and out constantly, and you can see the consistent 100 Buy and sell orders moving up and down the price spectrum. It's highly volatile because last time i checked there was only 501 million shares on issue.
So if you are a day trader, there's opportunities. It often goes up significantly in after hours trading, opens high, falls to lows mid market day, then recovers in late market trading. Not always, but thats a consistent pattern about 2 to 3 out of five days a week. And a move of up to $3 a day is not uncommon.
rocket lab gets played alot, but the retail investors staunchly committed to it will not sell, infact they enjoy it dropping cause its am opportunity To buy more. More institutions are coming on board which will stabilize it more over time, and hopefully the cathy woods of this world will F off.
Did i buy today at the lows? I wanted to, not the stock but the call options. There was and still is some very juicy sept 2025 calls out there. But alas, all my funds are committed at the mo. With growth stocks like rocket lab I prefer to put a deposit down and excise it when i have the dollars. I still have 2 leap calls on rocket lab for $5 and $7 expiring in jan 2027, wish i had more at the crazy low prices i picked them up for. wont sell those, ill excise them. As i want to own more stock not take short term profits for long term missed profits.
But wait, am i in love or obsessed with this stock? Nope, its a winner. Long term its a no brainer. Short term, its going to be played. If you don't have balls of steel, don't buy it. But if you do your own DD its hard not to come to the same conclusions as me.
Interestingly i was looking at a few comments to my posts six months back when i first suggested people look at rocket lab. A few suggested i was in total la la land. Interesting their picks have gone up 5% at most, mine are up over 500%.
Only been on tiger since march this year, but have invested in stock since i was a 17yo. So i started in 1987. Options trading, yes i was doing that back in the 80s too, they were called warrants. I concluded it was a very bad idea. But now, a know alot more than i did when i was 17. I keep it very simple, just buy calls in less expensive companies i want to own, go long, and just sit back and wait. Options trading can be easy, if you keep it really simple. And don't listen to idiots, plenty of them who use complex jargon that even they don't understand, to sound important. And they never show you their losses, id show you mine, but there are none yet.
