To The Moon

🌟🌟🌟The US markets dived on Monday with all 3 indexes S&P500, Nasdaq 100 and Dow Jones down.    The S&P500 Index and Nasdaq closed at their lowest levels since September 2024.

This decline can be attributed in part to Donald Trump's implementation of tariffs which is not good for stocks as they can hurt corporate profits and increase inflation.  There is also talk of recession. 

In the midst of such Bearish sentiments, is it time to buy or should we stay on the sidelines? 

I believe that it is important to take a long term horizon and grab those quality stocks that are selling below their intrinsic value.  The Magnificent 7 have taken a beating especially with $NVIDIA(NVDA)$  and $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$  down.  Tesla alone has dropped like a rock to the bottom of the ocean as investors are concerned that Elon Musk is spending too much time in running the US Department of Government Efficiency.  This may result in delay of key projects such as the low cost Model 2 and Cybertaxi.   Tesla's shares fell 14%, pushing its loss to 37%  from February. 

Nvidia has taken a severe beating too.  Ever since the announcement of DeepSeek's low cost model of AI chatbot, Nvidia's share price has been trending downwards.  There is also concerns of tariffs levy impacting Nvidia's sales.   Nvidia dipped 5%, extending its losses to 23% from February. 

$Apple(AAPL)$  $Alphabet(GOOG)$  and $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$  all fell about 5% on Monday. 

The Magnificent 7 is not so magnificent now as they are  collectively down from their December record. 

Wall Street Analysts are also Bearish.  Goldman Sachs have increased their recession forecast to 20% from 15%, citing trade policies. 

However I believe it is important to stay calm amidst such negative headlines.  Investing is a marathon, not a sprint.  The Magnificent 7 are leaders in their respective fields and have wide moats.  They also have rock solid balance sheet that can withstand the current market selloff.   In fact this is a golden opportunity to bargain hunt these quality stocks that are on sale. 

As Warren Buffett likes to say "When there is Fear in the markets it is time to be greedy."
