For breakfast, embrace the bread of champions: Kaya toast. Some places serve it at about SGD$1.50 a piece. Channel your inner food critic and savor each bite like it's a Michelin-starred dish.

Mid-Morning: The Air-Conditioned Adventure

Spend hours wandering shopping malls like ION Orchard, Suntec City, or Marina Bay Sands. Air-con is free and window shopping is priceless. Bonus points if you find free perfume testers.

Lunch: Survival Feast on a Shoestring

Head to a hawker centre.Get a plate of chicken rice—the iconic local dish. Look for the stall with the longest queue; it’s likely under SGD$3.50. Pro tip: Ask for extra chili—it’s free and will look like a spice connoisseur.

Afternoon: Free Attractions Galore

Get cultured at Gardens by the Bay and explore the SuperTree Grove (free) and pretend you're in an alien movie.

Walk along the Marina Bay waterfront for those postcard-perfect views. Snap selfies galore—it costs nothing to look fabulous.

Evening: Dinner and a Show (Sort of)

Back to a hawker centre! Find Nasi Lemak or Fried Bee Hoon for around SGD$2.50. 

Entertainment? Head to Esplanade Outdoor Theatre if there’s free music or a performance. 

Night: The Final Stretch

Wind down at Changi Airport— It’s open 24/7 and feels like Disneyland for penny-pinchers. Free attractions include the butterfly garden, koi pond, and indoor waterfalls. 

Be selective with the attractions as travelling costs money too! May need to skip breakfast to squeeze in another attraction. Or simply walk for places nearer to each other.

For the boring local who just works and heads home, transport and 2 main meals with instant noodle, simple bread from the bakery or from the Kopitiam should be under $10. Drink plain water from the pantry and eat free snacks for breakfast and maybe even lunch!
