Some places serve it at about SGD$1.50 a piece. Channel your inner food critic and savor each bite like it's a Michelin-starred dish. Mid-Morning: The Air-Conditioned Adventure Spend hours wandering shopping malls like ION Orchard, Suntec City, or Marina Bay Sands. Air-con is free and window shopping is priceless. Bonus points if you find free perfume testers. Lunch: Survival Feast on a Shoestring Head to a hawker centre.Get a plate of chicken rice—the iconic local dish. How I Conquered Hunger with Free Meals and a Dragon’s Determination

Breakfast – The Dragon’s Secret: Free Food at the Buddhist Lodge (8:00 AM) With a swish of my jacket, I head out to catch the bus. My EZ-Link card still has just enough magic left, and soon I’m at the Singapore Buddhist Lodge. I can already smell the porridge in the air—a perfect fuel for my dragon strength. Inside, it’s busy but calm, and I grab a tray. A warm bowl of congee with bits of veggies, a side of crispy fried bee hoon—it’s simple but satisfying. The best part? It’s all free, just like the generosity in my heart. I drink from my water bottle, nod to the volunteers, and leave with my $10 still tucked safely in my pocket. I feel like I could conquer the world (or at least survive another few hours). Lunch – Sri Venkateswara Temple (Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh) – A Dragon’s Indian Feas

Surviving a Day in Singapore with Just 10 SGD: The Ultimate Budget Warrior's Guide Singapore is known for its sky-high cost of living, but with a little creativity and resourcefulness, surviving a day on just 10 SGD is pretty challenging I would say! Here's how I tackled the challenge, step by step: === 8:00 AM | Breakfast of Champions: 2 SGD Start the day with a hearty roti prata from a local hawker stall. For just 2 SGD, you can get a plain prata or even a sweet version with sugar. Pair it with free hot water from your thermos, and you've got a delicious and filling breakfast to kick off your day. === 12:00 PM | Hawker Center Hacks: 3 SGD For lunch, head to a vegetarian economic bee hoon stall. For 3 SGD, you can get a plate of bee hoon with a mix of stir-fried vegetables and a side of c

If this is a day or so trial there is a possibility. Not a long term path as what you eat is to keep a person full and not a balanced meal.  Option 1 : eating out. Will be 2 meals a day. You can get the basic meal and maybe simple drink. The person will likely meat the target.  Option 2 : buy a couple of can food and a pack of instant noodles. Will take about $5. The balancr of $5 can get drinks or use it to buy 1l bottle water. This could get by for 4 meals or 2 days. Again the assumption no breakfast.  Option 2 is common with low income family. That is how the feed a family of 4.  I hope no one has to come to this stage. It is very sad

If I only had 10 SGD to survive 24 hours in Singapore, I’d go for the ultimate value-for-money feast—no half-measures, just pure efficiency. First, I’d head to FairPrice and grab a whole roasted chicken for just 6 SGD. That’s a full protein-packed meal that can last two to three meals if rationed wisely. Pairing it with a loaf of bread (2 SGD) gives me some carbs to stay full throughout the day. Roasted chicken and bread? With 2 SGD left, I’d treat myself to a big bottle of Coke, because let’s be honest, surviving on water alone is a bit too hardcore. This way, I’ve got a full stomach and something refreshing to sip on throughout the day. For the rest of the challenge, I’d chill in air-conditioned spaces for free—places like the library or malls offer free WiFi and comfortable seats. If I

Singapore is expensive, but can you last a day with just $10? It’s tough but possible! Breakfast ($2.50): Start with kaya toast and coffee at a hawker center. Transport ($1.50): Walk more and take just one MRT or bus ride. Lunch ($3.00): Grab chicken rice or economy rice. Free Activities ($0): Explore Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay, or Chinatown. Dinner ($3.00): Enjoy a bowl of lor mee or porridge at a hawker stall. It’s a challenge, but with careful planning, you can stretch every dollar. Would you try it?

My usual weekday starts with eating my breakfast at home ($1.78 local farm lettuce) and drink water. Go to office for work, lunch time I would eat in office canteen $3.40 (rice with 2 vegetables 1 meat) and bring along my water bottle to refill water from dispenser. On the way back home, dinner with husband (sometimes he treats me, sometimes I treat him) at one of the coffeeshop near our home $4.50 noodles. Go home drink water.
