Nikko AM STI ETF - A Tactical Bet On The Future of Singapore

🌟🌟🌟If you are new to investing in Singapore, one of the best ways to start is to invest in $Nikko AM STI ETF(G3B.SI)$ .  This ETF tracks the performance of 30 of Singapore's best blue-chip companies.  Nikko AM STI has reached its all time high on Thursday at SGD 4.073.  This is an awesome performance considering that the US markets were down due to the announcement of 25% tariffs on cars imported into the US by President Donald Trump.

The Top 10 holdings include DBS, OCBC and UOB as well as Singtel, Jardine Matheson Holdings, Capitaland Integrated Commercial Trust, Singapore Exchange, Singapore Technologies Engineering, Keppel Ltd and Capitaland Ascendas REIT.

$DBS Group Holdings(D05.SI)$  , O$ocbc bank(O39.SI)$   and $UOB(U11.SI)$  take up 52 % weightage and their excellent Q4 24 earnings have resulted in their share price hitting their 52 week highs recently.

The best performing stock is $ST Engineering(S63.SI)$  as it has jumped 40% year todate, rising to an all time high after the company revealed fresh 5 year targets and plans to raise dividend payouts in 2025, as well as in 2026, if revenue and profits continue to rise.

There is much optimism this  week in our Singapore markets and this was reflected in the Nikko AM STI ETF.  The ETF has risen 5% year todate and in 2024, it has jumped 23%.  In contrast $SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$  is down 3% year todate and is only up 8.3% in 2024.

Nikko AM STI ETF has a low expense ratio of 0.30%.  It also pays dividends twice a year.  The current dividend yield is 4.1%.  The next dividend is due in July 2025.

Nikko AM STI ETF provides a low cost way to invest in Singapore's best companies.  At the last closing price of SGD 4.05, it is a lot cheaper than investing in say DBS at SGD 46.58.

Nikko AM STI ETF is my tactical bet on the future of Singapore.  This is due to its dynamic growth in the South East Asian region, strong and stable government.   It is also a great alternative to diversify from the US markets.   Moreover dividends are tax free and there is no need to incur exchange fees.  That is a Win Win situation for me.

Go Long Go Strong Go Nikko AM STI ETF!πŸš€πŸš€πŸš€πŸŒ›πŸŒ›πŸŒ›πŸŒˆπŸŒˆπŸŒˆπŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬
