π₯ I Bought the April Dip: $SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$ , $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ , and $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ β Here's How It's Going πͺπ
April felt rough. With the market sliding on tariff worries and geopolitical noise, it was tempting to stay on the sidelines. But I stuck to my convictions and went shopping π when fear was high and prices were low.
Here's what I bought: β $SPY β for broad market exposure and stability
β $TSLA β because oversold is oversold, and sentiment was near rock bottom
β $NVDA β AI isn't going anywhere, and this dip was a gift
Why I acted:
It wasnβt just βbuy the dipβ blindly. I looked at the data β the S&P 500 was down more than 10% from its highs, and historical patterns suggested recovery usually follows sharp pullbacks. The AI trade still had legs, and even Tesla, despite the noise, had technical support and long-term growth narratives.
Fast forward to now:
π $SPY is up nicely β a steady compounder
π $TSLA rebounded hard from oversold levels (+30% off April lows!)
π $NVDA crushed earnings and sprinted to new highs
π Overall, I'm sitting on strong gains in all three positions β and more importantly, this reinforced one of my key beliefs as an investor:
π§ When the crowd panics, opportunity knocks.
It's not about perfect timing β it's about having a plan, watching for technical and sentiment extremes, and backing quality names when theyβre out of favour.
Right now, I'm holding and watching carefully. Will I trim into strength? Possibly. Will I reload if we get another dip in Q3? Almost certainly β but selectively.
How about you?
π Did you buy during the April dip too?
