Being strict gets me scolded. Being lenient gets me blamed. Either way, I take the hit. I’ve completely lost interest in this job.

If I’m strict and ask for proper documentation to protect the company, both my boss and the client lash out at me. If I’m lenient and problems later surface or authorities give feedback, I get blamed again. No matter what I do, I’m wrong. 

Bo bian, go buy curry pok first, problems later.

    That is why it is important to have an alternative income source.. I.e. passive income source.. that way, you have a choice to leave if the current working environment becomes toxic.
