I know how to tell when the stock price rises

Answer: When you see green.

I have observed how much people love predictions. There are many ways. Some "fortune tellers" will use graphs. Some may use "Hear-say". Others will just say this So and So (often a person of authority) has said it will be doomsday (recession, end of the world, market crash).

Stock Behaviour During Disasters

Have you ever stocks crash during an unprecedented disaster? While that may seem obvious, don't forget that many stocks, especially FAANG reached their highest peak during the COVID-19 pandemic. You may say that that was because of the government's stimulus. Well, I'll say that we would have not expected that as well right?

Loom Recession

Right now, it seems we are headed for a recession. Does this mean there will be a market crash? Or that stocks will reach new lows? Wait, how do you know? Haven't we seen stocks rise during this time? Haven't some EV stocks like $BYD Co., Ltd.(BYDDY)$reached new peaks?

Going with what probably works

As John Maynard said: "Stock markets can stay irrational longer than you can remain solvent." That being said, I think (I can't be sure) that the best way to stay profitable is to be prepared to stay long in the market. This means having enough savings to last the entire race. Scratch that, it is more of a marathon.

So... My take is to have a disciplined investing plan for the long term. There is a higher probability that you will outlast all the recessions and wars. This means not only allocating money to buy the stock, but allocating time as well to hold on to the stock. When will you know when your plan works?

Not when others say sell/buy.

Not when war or recession starts/ends.

But when your stock turns green. Or greener.Whatever your plan is.

Side note: I laughed when $Grab Holdings(GRAB)$turned green today with an increase of up to 18%. I didn't even expect it or know why.

Despite the downturn in the stock market, there are still some stocks that are performing against the trend, all we need to do is to stay patient and hold on to the bullish stocks

if you are able to form your own decisions with additional or opposing views from what you have read, I think that's something we can do

I mainly borrowed the first method, but the green needs to be able to last for a while, of course, there are other methods to assist

Thanks for sharing. The fact is that there are many ways to judge a rising stock price, and each person may have different criteria

Day to day price fluctuations is pretty meaningless now. I will look at the trend using the moving averages and other indicators. [Happy]
