$Iron Road(IRD.AU)$It is not too long ago that iron ore is a hot commodity. Housing boom leading to building materials shortages and everything related to housing market all over the world just gone through the roof.

Suddenly, inflation becomes too hot to handle and everyone seems caught out. Major federal reserve banks in the world seem to start a competition in raising interest rate. The price of every day commodities including iron ore drop like flies.

What an irony it seems and what short term memory everyone seems to have. There is no big picture, just preservation of capital and flight to safety.

If there is one thing I know, safety is indeed important to survive and fight another day. Beyond that, inflationary environment also focuses us on minimizing the shrinking of our capital. Essential commodities have to come back. Food still needs to be served and houses still need to be built. Technology might be delayed but the wheels do not simply stop.

Capital preservation is a must. Beyond that, position ourselves for the long term. It is always during times like this that fortune is built (or lost) [Cool] [Glance] [Smug]

Inflation has caused the market to fall into depression, perhaps it is time for government agencies to intervene, the previous way to work for food is good
