Here we are into Dec 2nd week. This leaves us with 2.5 weeks to go before year 2022 is over.
Will NIO be able to achieve a stellar Q4 2022 Delivery and Earnings Report ?
Lets start the weekly review of the shortlisted EVs - BYD, Tesla, NIO, Li Auto & Xpeng (in no particular order).
NIO EV insurance policy registration - 05 Dec to 11 Dec
How did each EV maker performed ?
- BYD. Still in #1 position. Registration up from last week's by +11.32%.
- Tesla. Still in #2 position. Registration recovered from last week +11.20%.
- Li Auto. Still in #7 position. Registration fell by -28.74%.
- NIO. NIO recovered 1 rank from #9 to #8. Registration fell by -5.06%.
- Xpeng. Improved 1 rank from #13 to #12. Registration up from last week by +8.41%.
NIO's Q4 2022 Delivery projection (simple calculation):
Above tabulation consists:
- Year 2021 total delivery - 91,429 EVs.
- Year 2022 jan to oct delivery - 259,563
- Year 2022 actuals delivery for Nov & Dec - 19,183
- Forecast for last 3 weeks in Dec (used 07 Nov 3,124 registration) - 9,372
- YoY (2021 vs 2022) NIO's delivery - +315.128%.
With NIO's making inroads into EU continent, wonder if actual sales from EU countries would be included in Q4 2022 earnings report ? Logically speaking, it should. Agree ?
On a separate note, NIO's swap station has just gone live in The Netherlands; after Norway (Jan 2022), Germany and Sweden.
With the roll out of swap stations, customer will experience the full benefits of Battery as a Service (Baas).
BaaS is an integral part of the NIO's DNA.
With the full package available, now all it takes is the "by word of mouth" personal experiences of NIO EV owners to help spur demand to a new level, no ?
