1. A stock giving good dividend (banks like $Bank of America(BAC)$ and insurance companies like Manulife) 

$Manulife(MFC)$ gives dividend of $1.12 per yearor 0.28 every 3 months . Selling the call options dated 3 to 6 months allow the user to the call premium and also the dividend.

Here are my one year trades on Manulife and selling its call and put options My total profits accounted for the options are $100 for 2 sell put and $200 for all the sell calls and around $100 plus from all the dividends taken which accounts for about a 30% plus of profit based on my $1800 purchase price of 100 shares of Manulife since 2022

On an high dividend paying etf ($JPMorgan Equity Premium Income ETF(JEPI)$ and QYLD) 

In this new age there are many high yielding covered calls ETFs like jepi and $NASDAQ 100 Covered Call ETF(QYLD)$ that's pays around 0.8 to 1% of its share prices per month 

So while taking a 1% dividend one can also take a call premium of 0.5 to 1% per month 

As seen I made around $100 from selling put and$110 from selling put and around $150 from the total dividendS adding to up to around $360 

what is a good reason to sell a call option ? 

( Googl trapped positions that we bought too high ) 

My average price of Google was around $135 In July which now turns out to be $90 means I lost about $45 per share and total of 4500 as I have 100 shares 

I recovered some by selling call options and buying back call options for over a few months as shown in the screen shot making back $1200 also have a leap call of $13 which covers me $1300 

So my losses is less painful at $2000 instead of $4500 

As seen I made around 1200 or more from sellingand buying Covered call options for Google stock . And having a position on selling leap call for googl also help me recovered $1300
