😢I’ll Like To Tell Powell This…

Dear Powell,

On this 1st year of anniversary of rate hikes, I would like to tell you this:

🫠 I expect you to raise interest rates by 50bps in March because you’re a 🦅 & you’ve repeatedly said that you need to bring inflation down to the 2%🎯

🫠 I also expect you to take the terminal rate above 5%, & as inflation is still not under control in Feb, you’ll probably need to take it to the 5.25-5.5% range😔😞

🫠 I don’t see you cutting rates in 2023 based on your 2%🎯 which means my tech stocks will have difficulty recovering…

⁉️ I actually don’t understand why there isn’t a better way to control inflation rather than rate hikes…you’re actually making the bank rich till they can give fat dividends in 2023 & making poor people lose their jobs & not have💵 to pay their 🏡mortgage😢 Businesses are abusing “inflation+high interest rates” to raise prices because price increase is more than the reported inflation rate. When inflation comes down,my Chup-Cai-🍚 will not drop price😓 Just set a law to limit prices of all the things like oil and gas that’s causing inflation & limit each family’s spending…This rate hike campaign only increases the cost of living over⏰ & you’re just making the rich richer💵💵💵 & the poor poorer🐻🐻🐻 SIGHzzz….

From yours truly disappointed,

Little Miss Sunshine🌦️

I like chup-cai-🍚 too. sadly capping oil prices won't change things much in a economics sense, recall back 2007 or 08, oil prices then was prolong >$120/b, the 🍚 wasn't the current price too.
I believe supply chain disruption is one of the factor impacting our inflation too.

@LTKalien Yes…Issue is as cost of living goes higher, goods will be more ex regardless of interest rates? No reason for tech companies to charge cheaper if people can afford

Rate hike will actually raise production costs bcos biz borrowed. This in turn pass on to consumer n further inflate price. This rate hike increase is actually a vicious cycle that Powell failed to understand or lazy to understand. Controlling the raw materials price is the best but extremely tedious n involved getting the wrath from biz man.

Agree❣️ That’s why I don’t think rate hike works...If regular person you and I can think this way, it’s not possible they don’t see it? More like they don’t want to see it?

They are doing their best. We need to control our positions in good manner, and realize limited profits from unlimited risk. Because the profits are just there for us to find, like hide-and-seek. No matter how the market goes, there r still opportunities.🙂

it all starts from when the Fed increases money supply which is legalized counterfeiting! so stealing from current currency owners from the beginning.  leads to inflation which now makes the current currency  holders have  less  buying power.  The kicker is now the interest rates go up and its the banks turn to activate daylight robbery. oh did I mention that they want interest on that currency they created from nothing. yes that's right they not only want the money paid back to them that they literally stole from current currency holders but with interest thanks!  [Spurting]

Guess this might be the new norm going forward, have to catch companies that are able to capitalize on the rising interest rate and have the pricing power.

Maybe I will start looking at $KIMLY LIMITED(1D0.SI)$ to subsidize my cai 🍚

I can understand his method ➡️ Raise interest in hope that people will spend less then inflation comes down…but there’s a better way of bringing down inflation without making the average person struggle and the poor suffer😕
