(1) The 6 business groups will operate independently & are free to raise funds & explore initial public offerings (IPOs) in the future❣️

🐂 This will add value to current shareholders if the IPOs proceed🤗🥳

(2) The splitting will empower the various businesses to become more agile, enhance decision-making, & enable faster responses to market changes.

🐂 With greater ownership & autonomy, staff are likely to be more driven & with greater efficiency, profitability may increase💪

(3) There is speculation that decentralisation of BABA may have ticked several Chinese government regulatory boxes✅✅✅

🐂 Less regulatory concerns would mean that the BABA can be focused on growth again🥳

(4) A successful example was where Google restructured in 2015 to become Alphabet with Alphabet as the holding company with many subsidiary companies. As can be seen in the stock graph below, Alphabet experienced exponential growth after 2015🥳🥳🥳

🐂 This means that BABA might have the same potential too❣️

(5) Co-Founder Jack Ma returning to 🇨🇳 after an extended absence has ignited optimism in some quarters that the private sector might be more favourable for investment.
