Higher the expectations for a good stock means greater the likelihood of disappointment if the price does not perform well enough. Let go of Wilmar at about breakeven around $4, still think it is a good stock but rather invest in banks.

As of now there is no big disappointment for what I have defined as a good stock. I will ensure I do not over allocate my stocks.

Alibaba holdings have constantly held it at belief that it's cash generation ability will be recognized by the market. 3 years on, added position while averaging down but still negative in the red

oh yes. Nvda believe it or not. sold it during bear market of 2021/22 at a lost when it dropped. suddenly, AI hype started and I didn't buy back in Any regrets? No because I invested in other good stocks from Mag 7. Recently, nibbled a little Nvda too. Well we all learn from our lessons I guess

Sometimes projected outlook is temporary for the next quarter only. If the less than optimal outlook is temporary, then the price drop would be a great opportunity to buy or average down.

my worst trade was Amazon.  bought at $92.  panic sold at $78.  later on , it went to $4000 without me.  lost my shirt, and even missed the boat on top of it.  learned my lesson.  never day trade.  always hold long term.  $Amazon.com(AMZN)$

Intel has a 133% year-over-year decline in earnings per share. Revenue also took a significant hit, dropping nearly 36% to $11.7 billion. Intel recently layoff 17,500 employees- over 15% of its workforc- to reverse the losses in its semiconductor manufacturing division. Intel will continue job cuts till the end of this year.
