1️⃣ Single Share Trades in the Market Jungle 1️⃣ In the dense thicket of market activity, the curious phenomenon of single share trades often leaves investors scratching their heads. Who, indeed, would purchase just one share? While conspiracy theories abound in the darker corners of the internet, the truth behind these trades is far less dramatic. Reasons Behind Single Share Trades: 1. Order Splitting: A single order may be divided across multiple price points. For instance, an order for 100 shares might see 99 shares filled at one price and the remaining share at a slightly different price. 2. Algorithmic Trading: Brokers employ algorithms to execute large orders without disrupting the market. Breaking up orders into smaller parcels, sometimes as little as a single share, helps avoid si

11 march 2024: inflation data this week to drive stock market this week

I certainly do not think the us stock market has peaked yet though pricing at this level is a double edged sword. The momentum is good on the upside but chasing at this level requires shrewd analysis with the selection of fundamentally strong businesses. My personal take is inflation data should be either in line with expectations or weaker than expected, bringing both dollar index down and us stocks up further. Naturally to think in a singular direction is risky as over sizing at this level into us stocks could mean one may get overly emotional when stocks swing the other end.  I used to think that chasing us stocks at relatively high level does not make sense which makes the buying of cheaper Chinese stocks a relatively safer approach. This thinking technically wasn't wrong in 2000

All In One Stock Or Diversify?

🌟🌟🌟Would I put all my money into just 1 stock?  Or would I diversify into many?  I would put all my money into just 1 stock if I have a crystal ball and know in advance which stock would be a winner. However since I do not have such a crystal ball, I would certainly opt for diversification. My favourite way of diversification is through ETFs.  ETFs provide me with  the power and strength of many stocks for the mere price of just 1 trade.   Diversification helps to balance out my investment portfolio because if some industries or markets are underperforming, other investments from different industries or markets could be outperforming.  This means a well balanced, diversified portfolio can help maintain growth even if certain investments are in a slump. Would I all in one stock like the “Magnificent 1”? Or would I diversify risk? It all depends on how much money I have for the investment. The 96% of investors that choose to diversify their portfolio are very wise. The professional fund managers might ask their clients to invest all with them, saying "Diversification is for the amateur, not the professional investor.” However, Warren Buffett said, “Diversification is definitely protection against ignorance. “

Is it the beginning of a correction after Nvda significant dip?

$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$  Last night we saw Nvidia -7.9% and after hour -3% might see the start of market correction as$Apple(AAPL)$  been dipping all week as 3.9% unemployment job data was a classic pump and dump. Market might finally take it bad news as bad news. Higher unemployment equal less spending in inflation a catalyst of recession. Lastly the housing and bank credit issue would be the last straw for the beginning of bear market. But it's election year as usual highly volatile and unpredictability.

Definitely to diversify! Our aim is to stay in the game and keep our gains and money. Portfolio stays alive during crashes and busts. No outperformance necessary. Time will compound our gains! Portfolio diversification is a strategic approach to investing where assets are spread across various sectors, classes, and geographies to mitigate risk. It's akin to not putting all your eggs in one basket, ensuring that a loss in one area doesn't spell disaster for the entire portfolio. Diversification can protect and stabilize returns over time. 📊

Definitely not all in one for me! As the saying goes, never put all your eggs in one basket. I normally would diversify risk. In fact, I find it hard to continually keep up with all the news and the company’s performance. I also prefer not to see big swings in the stock price and its impact on my portfolio. I prefer to see steady growth with time. Thus, my usual preference is to buy ETF. @SPOT_ON @DiAngel @Fenger1188 @AliceSam @rL @Kaixiang
