I will learn to sell call after the earning of asts. Waiting for the volatility and sell call at higher strike price. If assigned I get to sell these asigned shares at a fixed profit with lower cost at a lump transaction rather than risk of not fully sold all as I encountered multitimes...end up with awkward numbers of shares for the transaction fee paid. Why Closing an Options Position Early Matters | #OptionsHandbook EP041

Once you’ve opened an options position, you really only face three possible outcomes: you can close the position early, hold it until expiration and exercise, or simply let it settle at expiration. Many beginners assume they need to hold their options until expiration. But in practice, experienced traders often close early. Why is that? 📒 Let’s see how The Options Handbook breaks it down in detail: ▶ Lock in profits or cut losses Options don't just move with the stock price. They're also affected by time decay and implied volatility. That means the option's value can change significantly even if the stock isn't moving much. ▶ Example Stock A trades at $100 You buy a Call option with a strike price

The profit/loss overlay projection should be relatively conservative with respect to assumed realised volatility. A lot of traders place combos due to a trigger event, which is often associated with higher implied volatility, and when this drops off the decrease in value of any out of the money combos or naked positions is exaserrated. By taking a conservative approach with respect to assumed future realised vol you will assist traders have a more realistic expectation of decay in time value etc. The new functions all look good and work well.
