Three major U.S. stock indexes open higher, memory chip and technology stocks generally rise
The three major U.S. stock indexes opened higher, with the Dow up 0.66%, the S&P 500 up 0.59% and the Nasdaq up 0.73%. Memory chip stocks such as Western Digital rose more than 5%, Intel rose nearly 2%, and Li Auto rose more than 4%. Shares rose as Bernstein upgraded Western Digital. Optical communication and gold stocks performed strongly, and the overall market sentiment was positive.
