2025 Recap | Sum Up Your 2025 Investment Journey In One Sentence!

2025 came to a close with global markets swinging between political shocks and technological breakthroughs. Trump’s return reignited policy uncertainty, AI competition reshaped capital allocation, gold rewrote history, and megacaps expanded the limits of imagination. Markets trembled under tariff threats — yet celebrated amid an unprecedented computing boom. What trade taught you the most this year? How do you review your 2025 performance?

I would sum up my 2025 investment journey as the year of Chuck Norris. The wide monthly swings ment I had to have balls of steel. I'm ok with this, a number of my investments  are growth stocks with crazy betas.  So I'm 55, if I had an investment advisor they would call me crazy. That's why I don't have an investment advisor.  2 years ago I had approximately $30k in retirement savings and $10k available to invest via tiger trade. My thinking back then was do I do what I should do and just invest in "safe" low yield stuff. Problem with that strategy was that at retirement age I'd be lucky to have $100k. No way was that going to be enough. So I needed to go against the norm. But also needed to mitigate the risk somehow. So I've done just that. My total portfolio is now approac

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ the trade that taught me the most in 2025 🤔  All of them,  every single one was a learning curve. Never having delved in the stock market, I dove straight in, with absolutely no idea about what on earth I was getting myself involved in. No understanding of how to read any of the graphs/charts, let alone what any of the terminology was supposed to mean. Still wouldn't have a clue about half of it, yet  enjoying the confusion I've created for myself along the way.  Shown one by one with every trade something new. Learning what I can't do, cause I don't know how and what I can, cause I've fluke it. Plus somehow I've managed to make myself a decent profit along the way, without having

2025 Investment Recap: A Year Where Risk Management Beat Market Noise

One-sentence recap 2025 reminded me that leverage magnifies mistakes faster than conviction, but disciplined alloca tion, capital preservation, and steady options income allowed my overall portfolio to remain resilient and profitable despite market uncertainty. ⸻ 2025 Investment Recap: A Year Where Risk Management Beat Market Noise Introduction: A Year That Tested Conviction 2025 was not a year for complacency. Markets swung violently between fear and euphoria, driven by political surprises, policy uncertainty, and a historic acceleration in artificial intelligence and computing power. Donald Trump’s return to the political stage reignited concerns around tariffs, fiscal policy, and geopolitical alignment. At the same time, AI capital expenditure exploded, pushing megacap technology compan

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ What trade taught me the most in 2025 The most instructive trade was not a single ticker, but the discipline of staying invested in structural winners despite relentless noise. Policy shocks linked to Donald Trump drove sharp drawdowns, yet the trades that compounded were those aligned with durable forces rather than headlines. Exposure to AI infrastructure through leaders such as Nvidia and Broadcom, alongside a strategic allocation to Gold, reinforced one lesson clearly. Markets reward patience when fundamentals and capital flows are aligned, even if the path is volatile. The key takeaway was that volatility is not risk. Being structurally wrong is. Hedging with gold while letting technology winners run proved far more eff
$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ So to sum up my investments in 2025, well as the memes below illustrate, I'm not bothered. So I call myself the emotional investor. I don't often explain my principles behind emotional investment. Usually it's very subtle. so today in this post I'll explain one rule of emotional investment that has more than 10x my portfolio. And I will be on point regarding the topic... which is about volatility and uncertainty. For an emotional investor, uncertainty creates opportunity. The street hates uncertainty, basically a stock with high levels of uncertainty gets taken out back and gets shot in the head. On the other side is certainly. Stocks like $Realty Income(O)$ that have paid and

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ 2025 was a year to recover from the folly of 2024. I had FOMO in the REIT rally after the yen trade crash, went in later and tried to day trade REIT. These stupid moves earned me a -2+% return for 2024. 2025 was the year I made a fresh start but investing in financial literacy and proper trading knowledge. Unfazed with the liberation day crash and TACO events, I'd stick to my buying and accumulation rules of only buying at or below certain levels and not blindly DCAing into certain counters. Trading were done by sticking to a trading plan with defined entry, risk/reward and exit. Things then turned around and my 2025 portfolio turned 2024's negative to +8%>

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ Net performance was good. But my losses came from clinging on to stocks I hoped will recover and ignoring the stop losses that I had decided as technical analysis pointed to a rebound which never came 😭😅. @SENGHOE  @KILO  @AyKing  @intan9252  @InverseCramer  @fibance  @Papa Bear

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ The trade that taught me the most in 2025 was not the one with the highest return, but the one where conviction was tested by volatility. The key lesson was that being early feels the same as being wrong. Strong themes such as AI infrastructure and gold only paid off when position sizing and time horizon matched the thesis. Trades driven by narrative but lacking patience were the ones most likely to fail. My review of 2025 performance centres on process rather than outcome. The year reinforced three principles: Macro shocks matter less than liquidity and earnings delivery. Concentration works only when downside risk is clearly defined. Missing a move is cheaper than forcing a bad entry. Overall, 2025 was a year of sharpening

🌟🌟🌟Did I hit that magic SGD 1 million in 2025?  It maybe surprising to hear but the specific number is actually secondary to the spectacular "returns" I am counting right now. I have realised the fundamental truth of my investing journey is  that Money is only the fuel that allows me to get to my destination. I can have a garage full of fuel (money) but if my engine (health) is broken or I don't where I am going (goal), then it is worthless. In 2025, I managed to fill the tank and tune the engine. My High Performance Engine: The gift of good health is something that money can't buy, but that every $ is meant to protect & leverage for amazing experiences. My GPS: The support of a loving family is the "why" behind every trade & long term hold. The Fuel: Great performance f

My 2025 Investment Journey

2025 slipped away quietly. It’s now only the second day of 2026, and like any reflective investor, I found myself staring at numbers—specifically, the P&L analysis in my Tiger Brokers account. Rows of numbers, green and red, unrealised and realised. I’ve learned that if you stare long enough, numbers stop being numbers and start becoming memories. I opened my Tiger Brokers account back in 2023. Those early years felt encouraging. Both 2023 and 2024 ended with positive overall P&L, reinforcing a sense that I was doing something right. The market rewarded my decisions, and confidence slowly but surely grew. Then came 2025—a humbling reminder that investing is never a straight line upward. For the first time since I started, my overall P&L for the year turned negative. Seeing red
My 2025 Investment Journey
$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ 2025 taught me some valuable lessons about the interplay of political, economic & technological factors: typically rewarding investors who stayed disciplined & diversified. I was mostly disciplined (Except when I bought DJT) but faltered in diversification viz. especially in a single region US &  sector like Crypto stocks. And this cost me dear. Patience pays off in the long run is the 2nd lesson I learnt & hope that this will save me in the long run along with the 3rd - Fundamentals matter most. Policy impact is significant is the final lesson. And the Bove sums up my performance overview as well.

Options puppy Top 10 Top Picks to Sell Put Options Into 2026

Why These Are Strong, Profitable Companies for Long-Term Option Sellers Selling put options is not about chasing excitement. It is about discipline, patience, and choosing assets I am genuinely comfortable owning if the market forces assignment. As we move toward 2026, volatility is likely to remain a constant feature of the market—driven by interest rates, geopolitics, technology disruption, and shifting capital flows. For option sellers, this environment is not a threat. It is an opportunity. The key is what we sell puts on. I focus on companies and ETFs that meet a few non-negotiable criteria: • Positive earnings or strong cash-flow visibility • Durable business models • Liquidity in the options market • A valuation framework that provides downside support The following list reflects na
