May was a strong month for the markets, and many Tigers saw their portfolios take off!
In U.S. markets, tech stocks led the rally:
π $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ surged +23.99%
π $Microsoft(MSFT)$ jumped +16.92%
π $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$soared +24.84%
Hot names popped one after another, creating great opportunities for swing traders.
Meanwhile, the Hong Kong IPO market had its own highlights: New listings like $CATL(03750)$ , $BRETON(01333)$ , $HENGRUI PHARMA(01276)$ and $AUNTEA JENNY(02589)$ hit the market, and many users scored solid gains through IPO subscriptions via Tigerβs platform.

More importantly my favourite Singapore Bank DBS $DBS Group Holdings(D05.SI)$ has done well in May too. Its share is up almost 6% in May. DBS has also reported an excellent Q1 25 earnings in May with total income up 6% year over rd year to a record SGD 5.91 billion, pre tax profit of SGD 3.44 billion at a record high too.
DBS has consistently rewarded me with capital growth as well as nice juicy dividends. The current dividend yield is 5.07% which is a great source of passive income for me.
So May has been a phenomenal month for me!

My approach combined long-term conviction with short-term swing trades. I held a core PLTR position but also added on dips and took profits on spikes. With the AI theme gaining traction, PLTRβs real-world applications stood out, attracting momentum traders and institutions alike.
I skipped the HK IPOs this time, as the U.S. tech rally offered better setups. Stocks like PLTR showed explosive moves, and my strategy focused on riding those trends while locking in profits along the way.
