$Broadcom(AVGO)$ smashed out an absolute record of USD 15.2 billion in revenue for a single quarter. It earned USD 4.1 billion from AI custom chips alone and packed away a mind blowing USD 6.1 billion in pure, cold cash profit.
By any normal standard, this is a legendary victory.
But instead of celebrating, investors sold off and its stock dropped by almost 4%. Why? Because Broadcom's immediate next quarter forecast merely matched expectations instead of pulling off a miracle.
In this crazy market, matching official goals is not enough anymore. Broadcom must provide top notch guidance.
The Verdict: Buy the Dip or Wait?
I would dollar cost average Broadcom as it is impossible to time the bottom of this drop. If the prices continue to slide, my next DCA slice will automatically scoop up Broadcom at an even bigger discount.
By dollar cost averaging, it completely removes the fear of buying too early or the regret of waiting too long.
