It takes time for DTC streaming to be profitable. DTC can only drive up extra revenue ortake away market share from Netflix. But they will have a difficult time, positioning themselves as a global streaming platform. Netflix has the upper hand due to first mover advantage.  Iger needs to strategise his chess move properly! The more you focus on DTC, the moremessy it gets.

Let’s hope for the better! In terms of IP content, DIS and WBD has potential in an asset play compared to NFLX. But if they were to compete NFLX in DTC. I don’t think they stand a chance, even if so, it is a slim chance. They should disrupt DTC by adding ads to their platform to gain extra revenue.

Does Disney need another ex-CEO to re-helm the company? Does ex-CEO still know what the customers want? Is he still relevant? And I thot all Disney need is the mojo to produce gd quality entertainment programs again? Its an "entertainment" company no? And the singular aim is to entertain and profit from that no? When was the last time Disney had a Major International hit movie? Can't recall right... There's the problem... Now if only they could fix it... Be fair the US stock mkt analysts havent exactly been kind to Disney either with their poison pen. Agree? Just saying....

There have been some people who work there that say Iger is every bit as woke as before, but that remains to be seen. Time will tell.

Iger is the one who brought wokeness and Kathleen Kennedy to Disney. He has caused all problems. It wasn't Chapek.
