AAPL closed down despite of new high! Is $3499 Vision Pro Worth it?
$Apple(AAPL)$ unveiled its Vision Pro headset yesterday to launch you into virtual and augmented reality.
The stock market is not satisfied with the product as $Apple(AAPL)$ closed down although it hit a new high during trading hours.
The main reason behind is that its headset has only 2-hour life with its upset external battery and is priced at $3,499.
Vision Pro Specs: Exciting features and tech but upset battery
The Vision Pro offers unique features, such as eye-controlled content selection, finger tapping for clicking, and flicking for scrolling. It also includes a three-dimensional camera and microphone system for capturing videos and pictures in 3D.
Notably, the headset features an exterior display that shows the user's eyes to people in the outside world, improving upon Meta's headsets that provide a more basic video feed.
The Vision Pro has a two-hour battery life with an external battery, which helps reduce weight on the user's head. However, it requires a connection to a power source and does not offer standalone use like Meta's Quest Pro device.
Excessively high price for mass: $3500 from Apple vs. $500 from competitors
The Vision Pro will start at $3,499, more than three times the cost of the priciest headset in Meta's line of mixed and virtual reality devices.
Tech experts and analysts highlight the high price of the Vision Pro, which is more than double the median monthly mortgage payment in the U.S., as a significant barrier to mass adoption.
Competitors like $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ and $Sony(SONY)$ offer cheaper VR headsets. Meta's Quest Pro has been reduced to $999, while the upcoming Quest 3 will start at $499. Sony's PlayStation VR2 is priced at $549.99.

Anyway, I will keep an eye on the apple stock and monitor the sales of the headset. I believe there are still tons of apple fans which may still boost the sales of this headset during launch. The interesting portion will be how long can the sales sustain and attract new buyers. Let's see!

Apple, always pushing the boundaries of innovation and price tags! The Vision Pro headset sounds like a dream with its eye-controlled features and 3D camera system. But wait, a two-hour battery life and a staggering price of $3,499? That's enough to make anyone reconsider their reality. 🕶️💸
While the tech enthusiasts might be drooling over Apple's latest creation, the stock market seems less impressed, leading to a closing dip. Maybe investors are pondering whether people will be willing to mortgage their houses for this VR experience.
But fear not, dear readers, there are more affordable options out there. Meta and Sony offer VR headsets at a fraction of the cost, making Apple's price tag look like a virtual reality nightmare. 🎮💰
