"Threads" = Meta-Booster! "Twitter-Killer" Remains to be Verified

From charging USD 8 from users for the blue to limiting the posts the users read every day, people and advertisers are getting away from Twitter. $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$

Meta sees Threads as an alternative to Twitter and believes the recent chaos at Twitter has created an opportunity for a new platform.

10 mln+ people signed up for Threads: things you need to know

Pros

Users can log in to Threads using their Instagram account, and their username and verification will carry over. The app allows users to follow and connect with friends and creators who share their interests, including people they follow on Instagram.

The app offers a microblogging experience similar to Twitter, with options to like, repost, reply to, or quote a "thread."

The app provides a slick and easy-to-read feed, although it was populated with accounts the author did not follow initially.

Cons

Concerns are raised about Meta's growing power and the privacy issues surrounding Threads. The app collects various personal information, and it is not yet available in the European Union due to regulatory uncertainty.

In addition to the criticized privacy issues, some people have also questioned that Meta's new product has limited functionality and can hardly be considered a complete product.

$Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$: one of the strongest performers in stock market

META is experiencing a significant rise against the market, with the stock price now approaching 300.

From yesterday's closing price, META has recovered its position from last year's decline. Due to the launch of new products, there were many bulk orders for META call options, indicating a bullish sentiment towards the stock.

Former competition with Tiktok

According to data, while TikTok is the most successful platform in attracting people to engage with the videos posted, Instagram Reels record the highest average watch rate. Compared to TikTok, which overall registers a watch rate of 9.06% on average, Instagram Reels score an average watch rate of 13.08%.

Sorry i not a fan of Meta and Twitter. This new Meta thread create a challange to Twitter due to both App design and use is the same. Elon Musk will have a trouble? Seem like no, Twitter is going to sue Meta due to they found out that previous employee steal the trade secret and join Meta to create Threads. I am watching a good show.
