My favourite Tech stock $Alphabet(GOOGL)$
dropped almost 15% in just 5 days even though it had a good 3Q23 earnings report with 11% increase in revenue. However the Google Cloud Unit only grew 22% compared to Microsoft 's Azure at 28%.
It is a heart wrenching time for many of us but it's time like this that we need to remind ourselves that the stock market is a voting machine in the short term but a weighing machine in the long term. Volatility in the markets is a price we pay for extraordinary returns in the long term.
