In its Q1 2024 earnings report released on May 23, Bilibili Total net revenues were RMB 5.66 billion (USD 784.5 million), an increase of 12% year over year. Gross profit was RMB 1.61 billion (USD 222.3 million) an increase of 45% year over year. Gross Profit margin reached 28.3%, improving from 21.8% in the same period last year.
The Average Daily Active users (DAUs) were 102.4 million, representing an increase of 9% year over year. User engagement continued to be strong with the average daily time spent hitting 105 minutes., a new high in its history.
Bilibili has become one of the most popular platforms in China with 5 billion average daily video views. It is often referred to as the Chinese version of YouTube. Bilibili has a young user base, with over 80% under 25.
Bilibili's recent launch of the mobile game called Three Kingdoms was very successful and its share price has since taken off like a rocket to the moon.
I am bullish on Bilibili and has put it on my watchlist.
