Tesla Plummets after earnings - Treat or Threat?

The whole world is paying attention to Tesla's financial report today!

Tesla

EPS fell short of expectations, falling 15.29%. Wall Street predicted 0.614, but the actual return was only 0.52.

Revenue, on the other hand, beat expectations, announcing revenue of 25.5B, while the forecast was 24.54B.

Total revenue in the second quarter increased 2% year over year to $25.5 billion. On a year-on-year basis, revenue is affected by the following factors:

• Growth in energy generation and storage business

• Cybertruck delivery

• Higher regulatory credit income

• Growth in services and other businesses

• S3XY model average selling price (ASP) lower (excluding foreign exchange impact) due to pricing, attractive financing options and product mix

• Decline in S3XY model deliveries

• Negative foreign exchange impact of US$30 million

Next is to look at the following:

1. How can the announcement of new models stimulate and drive revenue?

2. Robotaxi has been postponed from August, looking forward to the next update

Robotaxi

3. Energy has grown by 100% YoY. Can it reach new highs?

4. Tesla humanoids, Optimus implementation status.

Tesla Optimus

Personally, I did feel the worst is already over for Tesla. We can see that its revenue is recovering with several exciting products going to be launched, although delayed. Therefore, I remain pretty optimistic for Tesla $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$  incoming share price movement as well as for the whole EV sector  $NIO-SW(09866)$  $LI AUTO-W(02015)$  $XPENG-W(09868)$ $XPeng Inc.(XPEV)$ due to sector recovery sign.

For those who want to collect Tesla, probably you can keep an eye on the share price as this round of pullback might be a great opportunity. I will monitor somewhere near 200-220 USD. Good luck everybody and at your own risk ya.
