Definitely will choose the 4-day workweek legalised by the Singapore government from 1December 2024. Understand that access to flexible work arrangements (FWAs) is the main consideration for caregivers, women workers, and senior workers when it comes to deciding to stay or return to the workforce. Everyone wants flexibility. and at the heart of successful FWA implementations is the building of a trust culture in the workplace. The rise of digitalisation and remote working means employees have now adjusted to working from home, allowing them to have more control in balancing their work and personal commitments. Many countries have reported their trials of a shorter work week as a success with no significant negative impact on productivity, while at the same time increasing the happiness and promoting better health of their workers.
