Just found out all the Tigers’ comments here want 4-day or lesser days workeeek. This shows it is very urgent for the government to make it mandatory to make employers implement 4-day workweek for all of us. Good luck all!🍀

Say ‘Yes’ to 4-day workweek. It is time to revolutionize the way we work. More than 100 years have passed; does the work system need an update. Flexible work arrangements, which includes the option for employees to work four days a week is important for achieving work-life balance and mental wellbeing. Thanks @Tiger_comments

If the company have enough manpower or good planning to ensure continuity of business, then it will be good. If not, the workload can be crazy within the 4 days. Worse case is that your new “free” day does not sync with your client’s new “free” day. Collaborations and meetings between companies can be delayed if key people are not around.

I really look forward to a 4-day workweek. Having an extra day off each week would give me more time to relax and spend with family and friends. It would also help reduce stress because I could have a better work-life balance. I believe that if we work fewer days, we might be happier and more productive when we are at work. Overall, a shorter workweek seems like a great idea that could improve our lives.

Starting from 1 December 2024, Singapore will implement a comprehensive set of guidelines for flexible work arrangements, including the option for employees to work four days a week. This initiative represents a significant step forward in enhancing work-life balance and productivity for Singapore's workforce. I am personally excited about the prospect of a four-day workweek. The idea of having an extra day each week to focus on personal growth, spend time with loved ones, or simply rest and recharge is incredibly appealing. In today’s fast-paced world, where the lines between work and personal life often blur, the ability to work fewer days while maintaining productivity is a win-win situation. My ideal working week would consist of four days, ideally with slightly extended hours each d

As a result, I have experienced a significant increase in my work productivity, allowing me to deliver high-quality results while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. While I currently don't require a four-day workweek, I may consider exploring this option in the future to further optimize my productivity and overall well-being.

Definitely will choose the 4-day workweek legalised by the Singapore government from 1December 2024. Understand that access to flexible work arrangements (FWAs) is the main consideration for caregivers, women workers, and senior workers when it comes to deciding to stay or return to the workforce. Everyone wants flexibility. and at the heart of successful FWA implementations is the building of a trust culture in the workplace. The rise of digitalisation and remote working means employees have now adjusted to working from home, allowing them to have more control in balancing their work and personal commitments. Many countries have reported their trials of a shorter work week as a success with no significant negative impact on productivity, while at the same time increasing the happiness and

As an Aussie currently enjoying a blissful 0-hour workweek, the idea of a 4-day workweek sounds like a delightful upgrade! Starting from December 1, 2024, Singapore is rolling out flexible work arrangements, including the option to work just four days a week. Now, if only we could get that down under! In Australia, the average workweek is 36 hours, which means we could be looking at 9-hour days if we compressed it into four days. Not too shabby, right? Imagine having a three-day weekend every week – more time for barbies, beach trips, and binge-watching footy! Would I choose a 4-day workweek if I could? Absolutely! The work system could definitely use an update. After all, who wouldn’t want to trade in the daily grind for a bit more R&R? My ideal working time? Let’s just say, the less,

I definitely prefer the 4 day to 5 day work week because it gives me flexibility for me to spend time with people and on things that matter to me with the day off. Unfortunately having flexibility can make rostering challenging for the company. I spend about 45-50 hours per week which is really typical of most Singaporeans, not really hardcore workaholic. I would be happy if my number of official work hours can be reduced to 32 hours per week. 8 hours x 4 days instead of condensing the full 36-40hr into 4 days would be ideal. I feel anything beyond 7-8 hours per day of work is counterproductive and people would be just passing time in the office to clock the hours.

Market Closes on Labor Day: Do You Look Forward to a 4-Day Workweek?

Today is Labor Day in the United States, and the US stock market is closed for the day. Labor Day is meant to commemorate the strike movement of 1886. To fight for the implementation of the eight-hour workday, over 200,000 workers in Chicago went on strike.Today, more than 10,000 hotel workers at 24 hotels from Boston to Hawaii went on strike. Based on the findings from the four-day workweek trial, it seems there are substantial benefits in terms of employee happiness and productivity. If given the choice and assuming it fits well with my responsibilities and workload, I would definitely consider opting for a four-day workweek. Regarding whether the work system needs an update, it's evident that traditional work models are being increasingly scrutinized. The successful trials of alternative work arrangements suggest that there could be significant benefits in re-evaluating and potentially updating work systems to better align with modern needs and well-being. An ideal working time might vary for different people, but a common suggestion is a balance for productivity while also maintaining well-being. For many, this might be arou
