Does Money Buy Happiness?
πππHappiness can be defined as the experience of joy, contentment or positive well being combined with a sense that life is good and worthwhile. Happiness is the secret sauce that can help us do our best. It is not surprising that happy people are more successful.
If I am happy, I tend to perform well and then money will flow easily into my life. To be happy means spending more time doing what I love like travelling and experiencing various cultures, customs and meeting new people.
Money to me is just a means to having more time to doing things that I love. Money buys freedom and saves me the time on things I don't like doing like household chores. Our time on earth is finite. So to me, Time is more precious than money. And if money can give me more time to spend with my loved ones, then money has fulfilled its purpose. So in that way Money does buy Happiness. Money by itself is just a token in exchange for work done or goods paid.
Ultimately it is important for me to live life to the fullest by striving to be a better version of myself every day, prioritise the things and people that matter and maintaining good health. While it is good to have money to enjoy life, Money does not by itself give happiness. It is only when we use money wisely, sharing it with others less fortunate than us, then Money has served its purpose.
Money is your servant if you make your money work for you, not the other way around.
