30-yr treasury yield is the highest level

30-yr treasury yield closing in on 5%. This is the highest level in the last 20 years. The goverment has to PAY more to borrow money. This is not good for you.

The market crashed shortly right after 2008. How does it hurt the stock market:

$SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$ becomes less attractive because why would you risk buying stocks when you can get 5% guaranteed from US bond.

Companies that promise big profits in the future ( $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ $Microsoft(MSFT)$ $Apple(AAPL)$ $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ $Alphabet(GOOG)$ $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$) become less valuable when interest rates go up.
