$QUANTUM CORP(QMCO)$ $Quantum Computing Inc.(QUBT)$ $MicroCloud Hologram Inc.(HOLO)$ 🔥🧠⚛️ Quantum Computing Unfiltered: My Deep Dive into $QBTS, $QUBT, $HOLO, and $QMCO 🧠⚛️🔥
Quantum computing isn’t science fiction anymore. As of 21 May 2025 NZST, it’s one of the most aggressively repriced sectors in the market, driven by a surge of institutional interest, Nvidia’s PsiQuantum headlines, and the growing realisation that quantum optimisation is no longer theoretical.
I’ve zeroed in on four stocks, D-Wave Quantum Inc. ($QBTS), Quantum Computing Inc. ($QUBT), MicroCloud Hologram Inc. ($HOLO), and Quantum Corp. ($QMCO). Each is being repriced, but only one is earning it. Below, I break down earnings, insider moves, technical setups, and macro catalysts to separate conviction from chaos.
🧭 The Macro Backdrop
The Federal Reserve has paused at 4.5 percent. Inflation has cooled to 2.8 percent. Geopolitical conflict over semiconductors is accelerating government investment in sovereign compute power. And AI infrastructure expansion is driving spillover demand into adjacent sectors, quantum chief among them.
Nvidia’s reported talks to invest in PsiQuantum (Bloomberg, May 2025) sent a jolt through the market. It was more than news, it was validation. Suddenly, quantum was no longer speculative, it was strategic.
🚀 D-Wave Quantum Inc. ($QBTS)
On 20 May, D-Wave launched its sixth-generation Advantage2 quantum system, now deployed across over 40 countries. This isn’t just incremental improvement, it’s a material inflection. The system boasts 4,400 plus qubits, 20-way connectivity, and over 40,000 couplers. Designed for enterprise-grade optimisation, it is already tackling use cases in mobile network routing, manufacturing, and logistics.
Q1 FY25 results:
Revenue: $15 million, up 509 percent YoY
Gross margin: 92.5 percent
Cash: $304.3 million
Adjusted EBITDA loss reduced by 53 percent
Net loss narrowed to $5.4 million
Customer base expanded to 133, including multiple Fortune 500 firms
Cloud and on-premise hybrid model now monetised, with Advantage1 system sale booked in 2024
CEO Alan Baratz called it a milestone for the entire industry. With both platform innovation and revenue acceleration confirmed, this is now the commercial bellwether for the space.
Technical view:
Cup and handle breakout confirmed
Volume surged 120 percent above average
RSI: 68, trending without exhaustion
MACD: positive and rising
My targets remain $13 as initial resistance, with $17 to $20 as realistic extensions if institutional flow sustains. D-Wave is no longer hypothetical. It’s shipping product and scaling revenue. That’s a quantum leap the market is only just starting to price.
🧨 Quantum Computing Inc. ($QUBT)
Let’s talk facts. $QUBT trades at $12.80 with a $1.7 billion market cap, yet its latest quarterly revenue was just $40,000, down 10 percent quarter on quarter. No product launches. No enterprise deployments. No path to revenue scaling. And no excuse for this valuation.
Insider selling is accelerating!
Yuping Huang, Director and 10 percent owner, filed to sell 500,000 shares through JPMorgan
Christopher Roberts, Consultant, filed to sell 65,451 shares via Morgan Stanley
Both filed on 19 May 2025, just as the stock gained momentum from sector speculation
Technically:
RSI (6): 70.07, extended
MACD: flattening
Volume: 890K, about 30 percent below average
Resistance at $13 remains unconfirmed on weekly close
The chart may look bullish, but the disconnect between price and fundamentals is extreme. A $1.7 billion valuation with $40,000 revenue is insane. No product traction, insider selling, and valuation without substance. No position for me. Too risky.
🎭 MicroCloud Hologram Inc. ($HOLO)
$HOLO is trading at $6.66, just above its 52-week low of $6.20. It’s not a quantum company in substance, but its low float and correlation to sector sentiment make it a short-term trader favourite.
Key metrics:
Market cap: $34.1 million
Float: 25.46 million
EPS (TTM): -27.56
P/B: 0.16, P/S: 0.85
Turnover rate: 69.92 percent
Volatility amplitude: 8.72 percent
Chart view:
RSI (14): 42
Breakout level: $7.15
Next targets: $8 and $9.30
There’s nothing fundamental here. This is a float-driven trade, not an investment thesis. If it reclaims $7.15 with volume, I’ll consider a short-term play, but I wouldn’t hold it beyond momentum.
🧱 Quantum Corporation ($QMCO)
This is where I’ve put my capital. $QMCO is a hardware and infrastructure name quietly positioning itself for quantum-aligned growth in cybersecurity, data integrity, and AI storage. Unlike the others, it’s not chasing speculation, it’s executing quietly.
Q3 FY25 snapshot:
Revenue: $75 million, up 12 percent YoY
EPS: -0.05, improved from -0.09
Debt reduced by $25 million
Strategic partnerships expanding
Institutional ownership climbing per 13F filings
Technical setup:
Current price: $3.90
50-day MA support: $3.70
RSI: 58
Bollinger Band contraction forming
November gain: +24.77 percent
I’m still positioned for a move toward $19.71, with a view that the broader upside scenario remains intact while price action respects the breakout levels. The technical structure has remained solid through recent volatility, and I continue to accumulate on dips below $3.70. This isn’t about chasing heat, it’s about backing an asymmetric setup tied to quantum infrastructure that’s both commercially viable and institutionally supported.
🔭 What I’m Watching
$QBTS, hold above $13 confirms weekly breakout, volume-based move toward $17 to $20
$QUBT, avoid unless revenue inflects and insiders begin accumulating
$HOLO, breakout at $7.15 could trigger a trade to $8 or higher
$QMCO, accumulation zone below $3.70, aiming for $5 into mid-2026
Macro wildcard, Nvidia’s PsiQuantum deal confirmation would send $ARQQ, $RGTI, and $QBTS vertical
🎯 Summary
$QBTS is the only name in this group with validated customers, global deployment, and YoY growth
$QUBT has a bullish chart but is fundamentally unjustifiable. I’m staying out, too risky!
$HOLO is a speculative float vehicle, trade it if volume confirms, but don't hold
$QMCO is my conviction long, scaling steadily into an overlooked part of the quantum data chain
When momentum dominates, discipline matters. I’m not here for noise. I’m here for opportunity that compounds.
